True & Accurate Washington Post Comment About Swalwell Hits a Little Too Close to Home for Post Censors

My wife posted the below well sourced and totally true and accurate comment in the Washington Post (WaPo) comments section for this article. Again, the WaPo does not appreciate being challenged, especially if the challenge is backed up by credible sources, so the WaPo Censors immediately replaced my comment with the following: “This commenter has been removed by a moderator for violating our community guidelines.” and here I didn’t even know the WaPo had any standards.

Regardless, you can read the entire article at the WaPo website at: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2023/01/23/intelligence-committee-schiff-mccarthy-greene-gosar/ and then make up your own mind if this comment offended your delicate eyes and ears.

Jeffries taps Schiff, Swalwell for Intelligence panel; McCarthy vows to block both

Here is EXACTLY what I posted that was so “offensive” to the WaPo censors:

==================== Beginning of WaPo Comment ===================

John Wagner and Marianna Sotomayor might fancy themselves “reporters” but by including this passage “Swalwell’s alleged ties to a Chinese intelligence operative — an episode that has produced no evidence of wrongdoing on Swalwell’s part.”without this contradicting information exposes them as DNC hacks just masquerading as WaPo “reporters”:

- There have been allegations reported that Swalwell was sexually involved with a Chinese Communist spy named Fang Fang, andhe “hasn’t denied the reporting.

- Fang was instrumental in the hiring and inserting at least of one Communist Chinese intern into Swalwell's Congressional office while Swalwell was a member of the Intel Committee.

There are “lies of commission” where the WaPo just publishes outright false information or Fake News and “lies of omission” where the WaPo just leaves out important details or pieces of information to mislead readers. The WaPo has proven to be a master of both but this article is an example of one of their “lies of omission.” More confirmation: Democracy Dies in Darkness and the WaPo Is Turning Out the Lights.

Dishonest Sundance "Hit Piece" Brett Kavanaugh Documentary Reviewed in Washington Post in an Even More Dishonest Article

On 21 January 2024 the Washington Post published a dishonest "hit piece" article entitled;

Takeaways from Sundance’s secret Brett Kavanaugh documentary

The article is about the Amy Herdy produced documentary “Justice” that she recently premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. The film is about the sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court Justice Brett M. Kavanaugh.

This Washington Post (WaPo) article was extremely dishonest and just accepted everything Ms. Herdy put in her “hit piece” as if they were hearing it from a Burning Bush even though most of it had been thoroughly debunked previously by many credible news sources including their own Washington Post as well as the New York Times and Politico. The author of this piece of crap is Jada Yuan who at least honestly identifies herself as a “writer,” Most WaPo hacks go around masquerading as “journalists” or “reporters.”

Read this WaPo story for yourself at this link and then read the truth at the below links and see for yourself how dishonest this documentary is but so is the WaPo person reviewing it.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2023/01/21/brett-kavanaugh-doug-liman-sundance/

When I put the below well documented comment in the WaPo Comments section for the article, the WaPo censors removed it claiming: “This commenter has been removed by a moderator for violating our community guidelines.”

Here is EXACTLY what I posted that was so “offensive” to the WaPo censors:

“Justice” has all the historical accuracy of Oliver Stone’s “JFK” with none of the box office appeal.

The WaPo thoroughly discredited both Ford’s and Ramirez’s stories.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2018/09/24/new-kavanaugh-allegation-is-precarious-legal-ground-former-sex-crimes-prosecutors-say/

While Politico destroyed everything Ramirez said and the New York Times wouldn’t even publish it.

Suggest you read “The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation” by New York Times reporters Kate Kelly and Robin Pogrebin. These two ultra-Liberal NYT reporters thoroughly discredit every unfounded allegation against Justice Kavanaugh. Here was their bottom line according to the NYT:

“Pogrebin and Kelly spend significant time digging into Blasey Ford’s accusations and also those of Deborah Ramirez, a woman who says Kavanaugh put his penis in her face at a Yale college party. They tracked down any witnesses and friends willing to talk, combed through legal documents, and did their best to find the house where Blasey Ford says the assault took place. They pointed out critical witnesses that the F.B.I., in its very limited investigation, did not have time to interview. In the end they turned up no smoking gun, no secret confession, no friend who came forth to say Kavanaugh was lying all this time.”

Here is how each accusations was debunked in detail and each “accuser” exposed as a liar as captured in the Wikipedia entry on the subject. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brett_Kavanaugh

Sexual assault allegations

Christine Blasey Ford

In early July 2018, Kavanaugh's name was on a shortlist of nominees for the Supreme Court. Christine Blasey Ford, a psychology professor at Palo Alto University, contacted a Washington Post tipline and her U.S. Representative, Anna Eshoo, with accusations that Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when they were in high school. On July 30, 2018, Ford wrote to Senator Dianne Feinstein to inform her of her accusation against Kavanaugh, requesting that it be kept confidential. After a September 12 report in The Intercept, Feinstein confirmed that a complaint had been made against Kavanaugh by a woman who had requested not to be identified. Feinstein said that the woman had claimed that, when they were both in high school, Kavanaugh had tried to force himself on her while she was being physically restrained. The same day, Feinstein said she had forwarded the woman's accusation to federal authorities.

On September 16, Ford publicized her allegations and claimed Kavanaugh had sexually assaulted her when she was 15 and he was 17. She said that in the early 1980s, Kavanaugh and Mark Judge, one of Kavanaugh's friends from Georgetown Prep, corralled her in a bedroom at a house party in Maryland and turned up the music playing in the room. According to Ford, Kavanaugh pinned her to the bed, groped her, ground against her, tried to pull off her clothes, and covered her mouth with his hand when she tried to scream.  Ford said she was afraid that Kavanaugh might inadvertently kill her during the attack, and believed he was going to rape her.  Ford stated that she escaped when Judge jumped on the bed, knocking them all to the floor.

Kavanaugh issued the following statement through the White House: "I categorically and unequivocally deny this allegation. I did not do this back in high school or at any time." Republicans criticized the decision to withhold "a vague, anonymous accusation for months" before releasing it on the "eve of [Kavanaugh's] confirmation" as an attempt to delay his confirmation hearings. Kavanaugh released a statement on the evening before his and Ford's scheduled testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee. He said that due to the serious nature of the allegations, both he and Ford deserved to be heard. He also stated, "I am innocent of this charge."

On September 19, the Senate Judiciary Committee invited Kavanaugh and Ford to testify about the allegation. Kavanaugh agreed to testify on September 19. Ford requested that the FBI investigate the matter first, but Judiciary Committee chair Chuck Grassley declined the request, and gave Ford a deadline of September 21 to inform the committee whether she intended to testify. He added that Ford was welcome to appear before the committee privately or publicly. On September 20, Ford's attorney opened negotiations with the committee to reschedule the hearing under "terms that are fair and which ensure her safety". A bipartisan Judiciary Committee panel and Ford's representatives agreed to a hearing after September 24.

Ford stated that Leland Ingham Keyser, a lifelong friend, was present at the party where the alleged assault took place. On September 22, Keyser stated through her attorney that she did not know Kavanaugh and had no memory of the party or a sexual assault. The attorney did confirm that Keyser was a friend of Ford's, and Keyser told The Washington Post that she believed Ford's allegation.

On October 4, 2018, the White House announced that it had found no corroboration of Ford's allegation after reviewing the FBI's latest probe into Kavanaugh's past. Her attorneys tweeted, "Those directing the FBI investigation were not interested in seeking the truth."

In September 2019, New York Times reporters Kate Kelly and Robin Pogrebin published The Education of Brett Kavanaugh: An Investigation. They reported that Keyser "thought the whole setup Ford described ... sounded wrong", and that she "challenged Ford's accuracy", quoting Keyser as saying, "I don't have any confidence in the story". According to The Washington Post, the book revealed that "Keyser also said she spoke with many people who 'wanted me to remember something different'—suggesting that there was pressure on her to toe the line [against Kavanaugh]".

Deborah Ramirez

On September 23, 2018, Ronan Farrow and Jane Mayer of The New Yorker published an article with another sexual assault allegation against Kavanaugh. Deborah Ramirez, who attended Yale University with Kavanaugh, alleged he exposed himself to her and thrust his penis against her face after they had both been drinking at a college party during the 1983–84 academic year. Kavanaugh said, "This alleged event from 35 years ago did not happen." The New Yorker spoke to four classmates, three identified as eyewitnesses but all denied witnessing the event. The New York Times interviewed several dozen of Ramirez's classmates in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no firsthand witnesses to the alleged assault, but several classmates recalled that they had heard about it in the subsequent days and believed Ramirez. According to The New York Times, "Ramirez herself told the press and friends that, initially, she was not absolutely certain it was Kavanaugh who assaulted her, but after corresponding with friends who had secondhand knowledge of the incident, and taking time to refresh her recollection, stated that she was certain Kavanaugh was her assailant." The Washington Post analyzed Ramirez's allegation and concluded, "Ramirez's accusation has the dual distinction of having more potential corroboration and less actual corroboration than Ford's".

Julie Swetnick

Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing Stormy Daniels in her suit against Trump, tweeted on September 23, 2018, that he represented a woman who had "credible information" about Kavanaugh and Judge. Avenatti said his client would be willing to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee. On September 26, Avenatti revealed the woman to be Julie Swetnick, a former government employee. In a sworn statement, Swetnick described attending "well over ten house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the years 1981–1983 where Mark Judge and Brett Kavanaugh were present". She described being aware of "efforts by Mark Judge, Brett Kavanaugh and others to 'spike' the 'punch' at house parties I attended with drugs and/or grain alcohol so as to cause girls to lose their inhibitions and their ability to say 'No'". In an interview with NBC News, Swetnick clarified that she didn't actually witness Kavanaugh or Judge spike any drinks. Kavanaugh called her allegations "ridiculous" and Avenatti's allegation as a whole a "farce". The Wall Street Journal reported that it had contacted "dozens" of her former classmates and colleagues but failed to reach anyone with knowledge of her allegations and that none of her friends had come forward publicly to support her claims.  Grassley referred both Swetnick and Avenatti to the Justice Department for criminal investigation regarding claims that the two engaged in "conspiracy, false statements and obstruction of Congress". Avenatti was later convicted of tax evasion, extortion, fraud, embezzlement, wire fraud, and obstruction of the Internal Revenue Service in multiple trials unrelated to the Kavanaugh allegation.

Judy Munro-Leighton

On September 19, Judy Munro-Leighton accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault in an anonymous letter signed "Jane Doe", which was addressed to Grassley but mailed to Senator Kamala Harris. On September 26, the Senate committee interrogated Kavanaugh about this accusation. Kavanaugh called the accusation "ridiculous". On November 1, Munro-Leighton talked to committee staff members. During the conversation she changed her story, denying that she had penned the anonymous letter and saying she had contacted Congress as "a ploy" to "get attention". On November 2, Grassley announced Munro-Leighton's identity, and described her accusations as fabricated. She was referred to the Department of Justice and FBI for making false accusations and obstructing justice.

Did Joe, Jill & Hunter Biden Just Forget There Are SEVEN (NOT Six) Biden Grandchildren or Has Joe Disowned Number Nine Navy?

Jill Biden’s holiday decorations strike a homier note than Melania Trump’s

Students’ self-portraits, handwritten recipe cards and yes, the Bidens’ pets, play a starring role in this year’s White House decorations

Following this below Comment being posted to this article’s comment section, the article was edited to change the paragraph about the stocking for the six Biden Grandchildren.

Comments  (In the spirit of transparency, I've included all the comments received for this posting)

A_Soldiers_Wife

I have to object to this passage in this article: “Red-and-white-striped knit stockings bearing the names, in green, of the six Biden grandchildren hang from the mantel.”

This is almost true but to make it true it should read “bearing the names, in green, of SOME OF the Biden grandchildren.” There are SEVEN Biden Grandchildren.

The missing grandchild’s stocking is the one for Hunter‘s innocent little 4 year old daughter that neither he nor grandfather Joe has ever seen and, despite sharing DNA, neither of them even acknowledges she exists. Even the WaPo dismissed her when they printed in the article about Biden granddaughter Naomi’s White House wedding; “All three of Hunter’s daughters, Naomi, Finnegan and Maisy ….” Although Hunter has FOUR daughters, the WaPo dismissed her too. Shame on the WaPo, Hunter, Joe and even Jill,

Chronos25

Until you know why please back off. This may be the mother's or both parent's decision. Have you spoken with the mother?

Pattipied

So where did you get this information? It is gossip.

A_Soldiers_Wife

Joe and Jill Biden left out Hunter's daughter Navy - who he had out-of-wedlock - from the White House stocking display. First Lady Jill unveiled the White House decorations that featured stockings over the fireplace for each of the six other Biden grandchildren. Even first dog Commander and first cat Willow got a stocking but not granddaughter Navy,

The Biden family, including Hunter, have never even seen Navy, though she was born in August 2018 to Lunden Alexis Roberts. Hunter initially denied being Navy's dad, saying he had 'no recollection' of meeting her mother although he dated her for months.

After a DNA test proved Hunter was the father, he finally began paying monthly child support and healthcare for the girl but in the 2019 paternity suit Hunter had also tried to skirt by without supporting his love child, telling a court he had 'significant debt' from his divorce from ex-wife Kathleen. 'I attest that I am unemployed and have had no monthly income since May 2019,' he testified. At the time he was living in a $12,000-a-month Los Angeles rental property, driving a Porsche Panamera and NBC News found Hunter had made $11 million from 2013 to 2018.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-11479645/amp/White-House-leaves-Hunters-daughter-stripper-wedlock-stocking-display.html

Seems “Father & Mother of the Year” Joe and Jill raised a real stand-up guy in that Hunter and they are doing the same “Grandfather & Grandmother of the Year” job with Navy. The “First Family” brings “dysfunctional” to a new level.

Sebos2

To be expected...as we all know that excellent example of liberal tolerance, Bett Midler, called the former First Lady an illegal immigrant, and received NO backlash from her Comrades!

A disgruntled ex-husband claims his wife cheated on him back in the 70s and your source is Inside Edition? So just anyone can say anything about Jill Biden and you believe it because you are supporter of the orange loser? Well, I heard you cheated on your soldier husband while he was deployed. Not really but do you see how silly that is?

A_Soldiers_Wife

What makes you think I’m a “supporter of the orange loser?” I’m not a Trump fan either but there is not a dimes worth of difference between Biden and Trump and both even pulled the same scam to avoid Military service.

I’ve been calling Trump a Cowardly Draft Dodger since he came down that escalator in 2015. Seems Trump, Clinton, Romney, Biden, Cheney, Schumer, Gingrich, Sanders, Bloomberg and most of the other Vietnam era draft eligible politicians did everything short of maiming themselves (didn’t have the guts to) to Dodge the Draft so I don’t respect any of them. Seems Cowardice was a bipartisan malady that afflicted future politicians at a much higher rate than the general population.

Entitled draft dodgers like Trump and Biden all used the same scam. Once they got their draft notice and passed their MEPS military induction physical, they shopped around for a private sympathetic doctor to “detect” some physical defect with them to get their induction cancelled. People like Trump and Biden that allowed someone less eligible to go in their place have no conscience or honor.

I believe all we did on 20 January 2021 was exchange the Trump Crime Family for the Biden Crime Family and one Draft Dodger for another Draft Dodger.

Bolt9315

How many kids has Herschel Walker denied so far? Are we up to 6 yet? And Herschel is seeking public office. To my knowledge, Hunter is not. In any event, you have no knowledge of the details regarding the alleged child & the wishes of the child's parents. But by all means, whine away!

Reiam1

I'm just wondering who names their kid Navy. I think the mom was doing a lot a drugs.

Pffftt.,.

How the Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Steals Money from Their Customers

BLUF: This is a true story and why anyone in their right mind should never do any business with or entrust their money to the Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU).

When serving overseas I was a member of the Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) but that was long ago and have not been a member for several years. Hence, I was surprised to get a NFCU account statement last June but about the same time my current bank reported a series of several very small three and five cent ACH money transfer transactions which alerted them to fraud involving my account. Turned out fraudsters were testing my account in prep to clean it out of thousands and the scheme involved fraudulently opening a NFCU account to first move the money there and then cashing it out from there. Fortunately we caught the fraud before any money was lost but $100 had been moved out of my banking account and into the fraudulent NFCU savings account.

As a victim of fraud but because no funds were lost, I thought getting this straightened out would be easy but I was mistaken. My bank closed out my checking account and reopened a new one for me and moved funds over seamlessly almost transparent to me but not the case with NFCU. They had to go through a full investigation and in late September they closed the case determining I had been a fraud victim so I expected they would just return the $100 fraudulently transferred from my bank account. WRONG!

Since the September case close out I have called NFCU several times to see about getting my $100 back. It’s just a lousy 100 bucks but it’s the principle of the thing and that the NFCU would open a fraudulent account in my name without requiring any proof of identity from whoever opened the account. Then once discovered the NFCU would try to make me jump through impossible hoops to recover my $100.

The NFCU tactic to prevent fraud victims from ever recovering their money is after their initial NFCU screening agent takes all your information, they tell the customer they need to be transferred to the NFCU Security and Fraud Office to resolve the issue and they pretend to “transfer” you. Over the past 3 months I have spent hours on hold listening to god awful music but have NEVER gotten through to that office. Today I sat on hold 148 minutes before NFCU disconnected from me. It was then I realized there isn’t a NFCU Security and Fraud Office. This is the NFCU ruse to get the customer so frustrated that they give and determined the funds are not worth the effort.

Bottom line, I give up and I guess I’m just going to allow the Navy Federal Credit Union to steal $100 from me.

Washington Post White House Christmas Decoration Article - WaPo Censors Tolerate Ugly Comments about Melania Trump but Promptly Delete Anything Not Flattering about "Doctor" Jill Biden

STYLE

Jill Biden’s holiday decorations strike a homier note than Melania Trump’s

Students’ self-portraits, handwritten recipe cards and yes, the Bidens’ pets, play a starring role in this year’s White House decorations

By Jura Koncius and Jada Yuan  November 28, 2022 at 3:31 p.m. EST

https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/2022/11/28/white-house-holiday-decorations-2022/

This article ran in the Washington Post extolling the virtues of First Lady Jill Biden but in typical WaPo fashion the ultra-Leftist WaPo writers (the WaPo doesn’t employ any reporters or journalists anymore) couldn’t resist getting a few digs like this one about the Trumps and especially Melania:

For their second Christmas in the White House, Biden continued her aim for a homier, more approachable decoration style than her predecessor, Melania Trump. The East Colonnade, known during Trump’s time as the spooky corridor of blood red trees, ….

Of course this attracted several typical uncouth WaPo Leftist Trump-Haters to post some very ugly comments in the article’s comments section calling Melania a former “escort” a “call girl” and every other vile epithet you can imagine.  Of course the WaPo did not bother to delete these vile comment as “violating Washington Post standards” so in response to one of these ugly comments I posted the below comment suggesting “Doctor” Jill might have a few warts of her own.  The comment was completely accurate and sourced with a link provided but the WaPo deleted this comment in record time as “violating their community standards.”  Seems for the WaPo censors Melania Trump is fair game for any unflattering remarks commenters want to make about her but anything equally disparaging about “Doctor” Biden violates WaPo Standards (and here I didn’t know the WaPo had any “standards”).  Here below is the comment I made and you decide for yourself if it was fair, accurate and as disparaging as, in essence, calling Former First Lady MelaniaTrump a prostitute?

The Comment the WaPo censors removed:

Are we talking about that “pillar of virtue” Jill Stevenson Biden, the one her first husband, Bill Stevenson, accuses of adultery with Joe while he was still married to him. He claims Jill and Joe's relationship actually started in 1974, when he was still married to Jill. Her ex-husband gave an interview to Inside Edition where he said “I was betrayed by the Bidens, Joe was my friend. Jill was my wife.”

According to Stevenson, both he and Jill first got to know Joe Biden when Biden was a county councilman in New Castle, Delaware. “We got married in '70, I introduced Joe to Jill in ‘72.” That would be three years before Biden says was his first date with Jill.

Then one day, Stevenson says a man came into his bar and asked him to pay damages for a fender bender that involved Jill. He looks at me and he says, ‘Oh, she wasn't driving.’ I said, 'Her beloved Corvette, she wasn't driving it?’ He goes, 'Senator Biden was driving it.’ And I went, ‘What?’” Stevenson said.

Stevenson said he confronted Jill at the time, but “she didn’t say anything” and “just looked at me. I said, ‘You gotta go. You gotta go get your own place,’” Stevenson said. Jill and Stevenson's divorce decree was issued in May 1975. Jill wanted half Stevenson’s business but the judge gave her nothing. What does that tell you?

Seem Jill Biden and Melania Trump might have a lot more in common than people realize.

Washington Post Editorial: Unethical Architect of the Capitol and the WaPo “Lie of Omission”

The Sunday/6 Nov 2022 Washington Post had an editorial with this headline:

THE POST'S VIEW

Opinion
Another Trump appointee provides a lesson in ethical misconduct

My wife took umbrage with this WaPo “cheap shot” and listed in a comment Blanton’s impressive technical and educational credentials showing he was more than qualified to be the Architect of the Capitol. The WaPo obviously did not appreciate having their “lie of omission” exposed so removed her comment and replaced it with this:

“This commenter has been removed by a moderator for violating our community guidelines.”

Would WaPo readers like to know what the comment was that was removed and replaced with that comment? Here it is and you decide for yourself if the WaPo “community guideline” violated was pointing out the WaPo was guilty of misleading readers by implying Blanton was unqualified for the job.

Removed Comment;
I agree Blanton has acted inappropriately and should be fired but the WaPo is dishonestly implying Mr. Blanton was technically not qualified to be the Architect of the Capitol in the first place.

Blanton earned his Master of Science from the Virginia Tech in Ocean Engineering and his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from the United States Naval AcademyHe is a Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and a Certified Energy Manager. He served in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps for 22 years managing billions of dollars worth of construction, facilities maintenance and general engineering projects.

When it comes to qualifications, Blanton is possibly the most technically qualified professional to hold the position in the last hundred years. Implying a Licensed Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and a Certified Energy Manager is not qualified to be the Architect of the Capitol is like saying a heart surgeon is not qualified to give a flu shot but the WaPo intentionally omitted his qualifications. Instead, they gave the impression he was not technically qualified for the position. That is the quintessential “lie by omission

A Certified Professional Engineer (PE) is a little more than just an architect, a PE includes everything an architect needs to know and the ability to actually build the pretty structure the architect drew but has no idea if it’s even technically feasible or buildable.

There are “lies of commission” where the WaPo just publishes outright false information or Fake News and “lies of omission” where the WaPo just leaves out important details or pieces of information to mislead viewers. The WaPo has proven to be a master at both but this article is an excellent example of a “lie of omission.”

As a Civil Engineer PE he is far more qualified in the areas required for the position than anyone with the far less technical ARE but the WaPo intentionally omitted this. Instead, they gave the impression he was not technically qualified for the position. That is the quintessential “lie of omission.”

Contrary to House Whip Congressman Clyburn’s Revisionist History, Hitler NEVER Won Any German Election

House Whip James Clyburn’s made this comment in a Tuesday/3 November NBC News interview in which he noted that he previously cited the rise of Hitler while discussing America’s political climate, according to the outlet.

“Adolf Hitler was elected chancellor of Germany. And he went about the business of discrediting institutions to the point that people bought into” it,” the South Carolina congressman said, according to NBC. “Nobody would have believed it now. But swastikas hung in churches throughout Germany. We had better be very careful.”

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/20/politics/james-clyburn-trump-hitler-comparison

Clyburn described the up coming elections with Republicans likely capturing both Houses of Congress as the demise of democracy and likened it to the election of Hitler. The only problem with Clyborn’s analogy is Hitler was never elected to any office in Germany. In the 1932 election for President, Hitler was soundly defeated by the incumbent, Field Marshall Hindenburg. To form a government, Hindenburg APPOINTED Hitler Chancellor and when Hindenburg died in office in August 1934, Hitler seized power, combined the president and chancellor positions into the Fuhrur position, and appointed himself as sole ruler of Germany.  The rest is history.  Representative Clyburn really ought to learn history before he tries to use it to make his point.
