Biden = Carter 2.0 or “Are You Better Off Today Than you Were Two (2) Years Ago?”

Reagan (R) beat Carter (D) in November 1980 by asking the question “are you better off today than you were 4 years ago?” 

When Carter took on 20 January 1977:

- Gas was inflation adjusted $2.93/gal

- Inflation was 6.5%

When Carter left Office:

- Gas was Inflation adjusted $4.14/gal

- Inflation was 13.3%

If Biden were to have to run today the question would be, “are you better today than you were 2 years ago?”

On Inauguration Day 20 January 2021: 

- Gas was $2.38/gal national average 

- Inflation was 1.4%

  -- Because of Biden's Inflation the average American worker has taken a 3.5% pay cut in terms of buying power

- CBP Illegal apprehensions at the Southern Border:

   -- FY20: 646,822 (Trump's last year in office)

Today:

- Gas is $3.87/gal

- Inflation is 8.6%

- CBP Illegal apprehensions at the Southern Border:

  -- FY21: 1,148,024 (Biden's first year in office)

  -- FY22: 2,766,582 (Record Breaking) + another ~600,000 "Got Aways"

The answer is obvious. Biden has tanked the economy in 21 short months. Biden is Carter 2.0 so: “are you better off today than you were 21 months ago when Biden & Harris took office?”
