The
Washington Post recently published this article about the appearance of U.S.
Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee on Tucker Carlson’s popular podcast. Mentioned
in the article was the fact that Huckabee had the audacity to host a convicted
American Traitor at the U.S. Embassy.
Huckabee’s honored embassy guest was none other than Jonathan Pollard, an
American imprisoned for 30 years for spying and who did irreparable damage to
the security of the United States.
With
Huckabee’s poor judgement, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear he held a
celebration at the American Embassy on 14 January in honor of Benedict Arnold’s
birthday and he had Jonathan Pollard as his guest speaker at that event or that
Huckabee intends to make it an annual 14 January event dubbed “Traitors’ Day.” Good thing Huckabee isn’t our ambassador to
Russia or he would probably be entertaining Edward Snowden at the U.S. Embassy
in Moscow.
Tucker Carlson, Mike Huckabee debate Israel’s
right to land in Middle East
Huckabee, the U.S. ambassador to Israel, said of the Jewish state’s biblical right to land in the region: “It would be fine if they took it all.”

Arab leaders have resoundingly rejected comments made by U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee during a podcast released Friday in which he sparred with right-wing podcaster Tucker Carlson over their views on Israel and Huckabee suggested the Bible gives the Jewish state the right to much of the Middle East.
Carlson and Huckabee spoke during a two-hour episode of “The Tucker Carlson Show” as some in the Republican Party try to tone down disputes over Israel.
A particularly heated flash point occurred last year when Huckabee met with Jonathan Pollard, an American imprisoned for 30 years for spying for Israel and betraying the United States. Pollard was hosted by Huckabee at the U.S. Embassy — treatment some U.S. officials viewed as unbecoming of a diplomat representing the United States ….”
Here was the Old Colonel’s WaPo Comments section comments to the article:
BLUF: NO U.S. Ambassador in their right mind has any justification for meeting with let alone honoring with a visit to a US embassy a traitor like Pollard and Huckabee should be fired immediately.
Let’s be clear how much damage Pollard actually did to U.S. security. Pollard sold numerous state secrets, including the National Security Agency’s ten-volume manual on how the U.S. gathers its signal intelligence, and disclosed the names of thousands of people who had cooperated with U.S. intelligence agencies.
Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, former CIA director George Tenet; several former U.S. Secretaries of Defense; a bi-partisan group of U.S. congressional leaders; and members of the U.S. intelligence community all maintained that the damage to U.S. national security due to Pollard's espionage was much more severe, wide-ranging, and enduring than acknowledged publicly. Pollard's espionage compromised elements of four major intelligence systems and revealed aspects of the U.S. intelligence gathering process or its "sources and methods.” He was motivated not by patriotism or concern for Israel's security, but by greed and he spent the money on cocaine, alcohol, and expensive meals.
Pollard passed classified documents to the governments of South Africa, Argentina, Taiwan, Pakistan and Iran, and at least some of the information Pollard sold to Israel was acquired by the USSR. He also stole classified documents related to China on behalf of his wife, who used it. Pollard even admitted shopping his services—successfully, in some cases—to other countries.
Huckabee
should be immediately fired!
